Children are SO much fun to photograph and are becoming more and more my favorite subject. They are a huge challenge- just getting them to the point where they aren't afraid of the giant black beast about to eat them (a.k.a my camera) is the hardest part some times! This little angel, however, had my beast of a camera in her face from the moment she took her first breath! I believe that she thinks it is normal for Auntie Aly to have a growth in front of her face ;)
~One Year Photo-shoot~
After a while the smiles and giggles need to be re-fueled.
The board my sister hand-made! She is a creative artist, cook, DIY-er, crafter, and just all around amazing. ;) If you want to see more details on the sugar and spice party she threw for Layla you can find that and a whole bunch of other fun stuff
here.
How adorable can you get? Layla absolutely loves her mommy!
Blowing kisses to her mommy ;)
~Cake SMASH Session!~
So I had this vision for the cake smashing session backdrop...it turned out slightly different, but I like how this came out! The backdrop is old flooring that we ripped out of an apartment house and I nailed them together with the old nails that came out of another tearing out project (we do a lot of those). The old news papers that were stuck to the boards and the stains just add that unique rustic chic look. :) This handmade backdrop is now apart of my ever growing prop collection!
I am one proud auntie! My little niece is so precious to me and I absolutely LOVE being an aunt! I always have a blast at photo-shoots, but when it involves family there is just something special.
Anyway I highly doubt it, but I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them! ;)
